Code of Conduct for Faculty

College faculty follows the code of conduct prescribed by the Government of Haryana through department of Higher Education.

Code of Conduct for Teaching Staff:

·        The Code of Conduct for teachers is governed by Directorate of Higher Education Haryana, Statutes, Ordinances and Service Rules.

·         To further the development of the institution, all teaching staff members are expected to collaborate with the head of the institution in an honest and ethical manner.

·         Teachers are expected to prioritize the needs of the institution and to respect its regulations and procedures.

·        Teachers are expected to carry out their responsibilities with honesty, commitment, and punctuality. Teachers have administrative, invigilation, and evaluation duties in addition to their teaching obligations.

·        The working hours of teachers are Five hours and a half, along with any other additional duty assigned to them.

·        Teachers need to sign the attendance register daily, at the time of entry and exit.

·         Teachers are not allowed to take on jobs or activities outside of the institution that might conflict with their duties as professionals.

·        Teachers are expected to follow policies regarding leave and give advance notice when taking time off.

·        They are also expected to continuously pursue professional development through study, research, and attendance at seminars and conferences.

·        Teachers are also expected to support and mentor students who are participating in extracurricular and co-curricular activities.

·        Teachers are expected to respect each student's rights and dignity.

·        Teachers are expected to treat every student equally, regardless of their religion, caste, socioeconomic status, or physical or social identity.

·        Teachers have an obligation to instil in their children ideals such as democracy, humanism, peace, and respect.

·        It is forbidden for any member of the teaching staff to participate in political activity on campus.

 

Code of Conduct for Non-Teaching Staff:

 

The Code of Conduct for non-teaching staff is governed by the Directorate of Higher Education Haryana, Statutes, Ordinances and Service Rules.

·        Non-teaching Staff is to work as per the working hours determined by the Institution, with a one-hour lunch break on all working days.

·        Non- teaching and supporting staff should have cordial relationship with teaching staff and students for smooth and proper functioning in the college.

·        Non-teaching Staff members are to exhibit high standards of professionalism including honesty, sincerity, punctuality, and discipline.

·        Every Staff member is to maintain confidentiality with respect to student and staff records or other sensitive matter.

·        All Staff members are to refrain from harassment or discrimination relating to gender, sexuality, marital status, religion etc. about their colleagues, teaching faculty and students.
